Last week the Lord encouraged us in the message “Kingdom Gold”

How we buy this Kingdom Gold

This week as I was meditating with the Lord as I lay in my bed / urgency from the Lord to preach about deliverance. The urgency the Lord has stressed for His people to be restored- spiritually, mentally and physically (mind body and soul)

What would God’s people need deliverance from? Thought we were already delivered through salvation

People of Israel delivered at Passover, same for us today - Jesus the Passover lamb

Did God’s people cross paths of enemies along their wilderness journey to the promised land?

We in the same way cross paths..... more spiritually

How does the enemy cross the paths of our journey?

Enemy against us (satan / demons

liar, murderer, no truth

kill, steal, destroy

It seems that nothing about us is off limits to the enemy

I don’t believe the enemy can possess a Christian but can oppress a Christian

possess - have mastery over, control or dominate

oppress - persecute, abuse, subdue or enslave

So the enemy is always trying to do these things: lying to us (deceive as well) he wants to kill us / our family anyone dear to us, he wants to steal from us or destroy in any way form or fashion to subdue us and bring us down.

His ultimate goal - distance us from God

But some may say why would I need deliverance? I think better said or explained is........... I think we try to tolerate or just treat it or just becomes part of life. Another words more things are piling on in our lives than we realize. So we just do what we have to do, go see who we have to see, talk with who we think we need to talk to. But another issue in our life is still piled on or attached itself to our life’s load.

The enemy attacks our spiritual, emotional, mental and physical states

But see as far as the enemy is concerned that’s great - he is using those things to keep us from our potential serving God.

In the bible God gave deliverance in a very special and amazing ways

As I studied deliverance in God’s word, I discovered there were many different meanings, and not only different meanings but many different Hebrew and Greek words for deliverance. This brought me to realize God can give a total restoration, He covers everything when it comes to deliverance.

For instance Joseph being sold into slavery by his brothers in Egypt - a planed by the enemy and carried out against Joseph by his brothers.... but God used His deliverance and look what He does with the deliverance

7 “God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to keep you alive by a great deliverance.

We see two key points that deliverance would preserve and keep alive

Hebrew word for deliverance in this passage (pletah)- out of danger, out of oppression, out of captivity, survival

2 Samuel 22: 51

51 “He is a tower of deliverance to His king,

And shows lovingkindness to His anointed,

To David and his descendants forever.”

Key points here is God is great and powerful - He saved me from the bullies, we see the word for deliverance here is (yeshuah)- victory and state of freedom

19 for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

The Greek word for Deliverance here is (soteria)- salvation, deliverance from molestation from enemies

Let the Lord be mindful of me.

You are my help and my deliverer;

Deliverance

preserve, keep alive, out of danger, out of oppression, out of captivity, survival, victory, freedom, salvation, deliverance from enemies, free from danger, bring relief from trouble, escape, bring into security, delivered to a proper relationship with God

If I could drive home a most amazing point in God’s deliverance is that He brings restoration out of it.

We see throughout Israel’s journey starting at Egypt (greatest act of deliverance of all still most recounted by Jewish people) Even more for the Jewish people who have received Christ, now Christians, completed Jews

Anytime that crossed paths with an enemy of Israel, when God gave deliverance the spoils and plunder were left

Christian Jews so celebrate deliverance as such freedom and joy as Jesus their Messiah has fulfilled every OT story of deliverance in their mind body and soul

Sue Samuel - Christian Jew wrote this song about 10 years ago proclaiming her deliverance experience and it triggered a worship experience in the Jewish churches that caught like wildfire. I heard her story back then on Jonathan Bernis show and then Jewish believers worship videos were popping up all over.

Pay special attention to the words throughout and let deliverance sink in deep.

So the question is have we just taken little things or big things that the enemy has weighed us down to subdue us and distance us from God, keeping us from the potential Jesus has for us serving in His church and kingdom

Remember at camp there usually aren’t many sandburs but the enemy wants to put them in your tires everywhere else you.
